DID YOU KNOW?
The words Feng Shui literally translate as "Wind Water".  One theory on the origins of Feng Shui is it began in 4000BC when Fu Hsi made improvements to river banks to prevent flooding.  The area that enjoyed the greatest success was located with the river to the east and protected from the north east winds.

DID YOU ALSO KNOW?
When considering what colours to use to enhance the energy of an element, incorporate the element's shape as well.  Pointed objects for Fire (red), square for Earth (brown or yellow), round for Metal (think of the shape and colour of silver coins), flowing shapes for Water (blue) and tall rectangular shapes for Tree (green).  The top picture on the right use the shapes and colours of the fire element
